U.S : GOP SET TO DISGRACE THE MOTHER EMMANUEL AME 9 TOMORROW

Dear friend,

Tomorrow, the Republican presidential debate will be hosted in Charleston, South Carolina — the same city where Dylann Roof murdered nine Black parishioners at the Mother Emmanuel AME church. Yet not a single candidate has disavowed the support of known white supremacists or agreed to stop preaching the same fear, hate, and resentment of people of color that continue to inspire future Dylann Roofs or the armed white right-wing militia currently holed up in Oregon.
Trump and the GOP candidates have egged on white nationalists with their fiery speeches and advertisements filled with violent language — inspiring a rise in membership for white supremacist groups and driving a huge spike in the number of white terror militia groups.1 2 Even more alarmingly, the same white supremacist group that inspired Dylann Roof is now campaigning for Trump, blanketing Iowa with robocalls.3
For months (even years), politicians and pundits have peddled extremist, xenophobic, and bigoted ideologies masquerading as legitimate political rhetoric and then played dumb when their words incited the verbal and physical abuse of Black and Brown people and the murder of Planned Parenthood workers. Those that continue to stay silent and cash in on the hysteria also have blood on their hands.
Join us in telling them that enough is enough: fanning the flames of radicalism and fear will no longer be tolerated.

Thanks and Peace,

Brandi

The increasingly anti-Black rhetoric from national GOP figures like Donald Trump is inspiring hateful actions like this. Tell the GOP Presidential Candidates: Stop inciting and supporting hate
Take Action

Dear friends,

Last Monday night in Minneapolis, white supremacists shot 5 activists protesting the police killing of Jamar Clark.4
Just a day before this white terrorist attack, Donald Trump shared a bigoted anti-Black graphic created by a neo-Nazi on social media. That same weekend he also not only stood by and watched, but cheered on his followers as they violently kicked, punched and choked a Black Lives Matter protester at his rally in Birmingham, Alabama.56
It’s clear that the increasingly savage and eliminationist anti-Black rhetoric from national GOP figures like Donald Trump is inspiring hateful actions like this. Many GOP candidates have been inflaming this hostile climate with bald-faced attempts to court racist and white supremacists supporters. They are shouting fire in a crowded theater. And those that haven’t have sat quietly on the sidelines refusing to call out this dangerous race-baiting.
It's time to confront GOP presidential candidates and force them to take responsibility for using their platform to inspire fear, hate, and resentment of people of color. Join us in drawing a line in the sand and demand that all GOP presidential candidates publicly disavow white supremacists and reject their support.

Right-wing politicians and media continue to ignore or downplay — while refusing to disavow — instances of white domestic terrorism like what happened in Minnesota and the devastating attack and murders this weekend in Colorado. There is, however, very little doubt they are all directly linked to the incitement stemming from false claims about Planned Parenthood and the movement for Black lives- make no mistake about it, blood is on their hands.
Last Monday’s shooting was not an isolated incident. It is a part of a deep pattern of violent rhetoric, racially charged imagery, and paranoid conspiracy theories that dehumanizes Black Americans and encourages violent action from white supremacists.
It’s time to call on GOP candidates to do two simple things:
  1. Unequivocally condemn white supremacy among their supporters, and make clear that those who embrace it have no place in their party.
  2. Make clear that they will not tolerate fear-mongering and coded appeals to racism from their fellow candidates.
Make no mistake; any GOP candidate refusing our demands is making a choice to align with white supremacist rhetoric and the violent actions and consequences that ensue.
The fact that the leading candidate — Donald Trump — for the Republican party’s nomination to President of the United States reads, shares and supports the views of neo-Nazis and supports the assault of peaceful protesters should signal a deafening alarm to all Americans of good faith.
Hate crimes, white terrorist attacks, and daily violence against Black Americans, Muslim, Arab and South Asian Americans as well as Latinos and other immigrants are encouraged by the hateful and false narratives being spread by the GOP candidates and the media industrial complex that profits off them.
White supremacy and white terrorism is a growing problem that GOP candidates are complicit in inflaming. Since the election of Barack Obama, white supremacists have increased their enrollment of new members.7 To that end, they have infiltrated Tea Party organizations to recruit racially resentful and angry white people who are beginning to think about politics in terms of “white group interests.”8 9 10 The FBI has in fact identified domestic terrorism from white, right-wing Christians as the greatest domestic terrorism threat to the United States since the attacks of September 11, 2001.11
As long as GOP candidates are allowed to act like fear-mongers and espouse white supremacist rhetoric these trends will continue. We need to stand up and force the GOP to take responsibility for the violent white supremacy they are encouraging.

Thanks and Peace,
